Trailer Analysis: Age of Ultron

                              Trailer Analysis: Marvel Avengers:
                                          Age of Ultron

1. The trailer is 2:18 mins long and the title of the movie reveals itself at 2:03. This is because the trailer wants the audience to guess what movie this is about.

2. The two most powerful scenes were at 0:25 where the robot head glows because it means something terrifying is going to happen and at 2:03 where a face only showing 2 eyes opens because it looks like this person is new to the Avengers series.

3. Dark, ominous music is played. This music makes the trailer more serious and more epic.

4. The best sound affects were from the robot sounds made in the trailer because the sound seemed so realistic.

5. The voice-over has a very deep and slow voice.  This makes the trailer more serious, more dark, and more catching for the audience.

6. This voice was chosen to make it so the robots were so powerful and almost unstoppable and the Avengers have a challenge to defeat them.

7. The last frame shows the words "May 1" which is probably the release date.

8. The trailer surprisingly made me interested in watching this movie because the trailer made me want to watch more of the Avengers: Age of Ultron. The affects were beautiful and the actors in the movie were all famous.

Trailer Analysis: Jurassic World

                                Trailer Analysis: Jurassic World

1. The trailer is 2:30 mins long and the title of the movie reveals itself in 2:16. It is like this because we probably already know what Jurassic Park is.

2. The two most powerful scenes in the trailer were in 1:15 where the guy is eaten by a dinosaur, and in 2:12 where a giant sea monster eats a bird. I remember these 2 because they involve killing something and that is something entertaining.

3. The music being played is dark and ominous which makes it feel like a action/ horror movie.

4. All the dinosaur sounds were great sound affects because my ears believed that a dinosaur actually made that sound.

5. There was not one person doing the voice over but there were multiple voices in the trailer. This makes it feel like every character in the movie plays an important role in the plot.

6. The multiple voices in a trailer was chosen to make the movie more like a hardcore action movie and not like a movie with a detailed story.

7. The last frame has information about watching the movie on a big screen.

8. This trailer did not grab my interest, not because it was a bad trailer, but I just am not interested in dinosaurs.

                              Trailer Analysis: Star Wars

1. The trailer is about 2 mins long and the name of the films is revealed at the end. It is revealed at this point of the trailer because we probably already know what Star Wars is.

2. The two most powerful scenes for me was the scene of Darth Vader's helmet, and the scene with Chewbaca and Han Solo. I remember them because they were in the previous Star Wars films.

3. The trailer is playing exciting orchestral music. The music makes the trailer more of an action films.

4. The best sound effects were the explosions in the trailer. The sound effects sounded like a real explosion is occurring.

5. The voice-over is probably a character from the movie which makes us feel excited about who the voice-over actually is.

6. The voice was chosen to emulate a character in the movie talking about the trailer. It makes us think that this character whose talking in the trailer is probably important.

7. The release date of the trailer.

8. The trailer didn't seem to interest me at all because the trailer looked like it didn't have a main villain at all. The scenes didn't make me feel really excited.

The Power of the Edit

 Unedited

Edited

Explanation:

The reason I choose this picture out of all the other was because it featured a man who looked kind of sad which I liked because I wanted more of a sad feeling to the picture I was doing. For the editing, I used the app Iphoto to enhance the picture. While I was editing, I wanted to make the picture really emotional in a sad way and I wanted the area in the picture to look warm and sunny. In the end, I was really satisfied with the edited photo. From the picture, you can see the rule of thirds being used because the main object of the picture, the man, is in the left middle corner which is a spot the rule of thirds advises you to put your objects in. One of the ways I enhanced this picture was that I increased the shadows of the man and a few other objects. I also brightened the photo to make it so the area looks warm and sunny. I finally added some green light in the photo because I wanted the photo to look nature like.
